The following article mainly talks about the way to transfer 4K MP4 files from Panasonic Lumix GX850/GX800 to iMovie 11/09/08 or Final Cut Express for editing smoothly, if you have the same application need, keep reading...

A pocketable powerhouse of a camera, the black Lumix DC-GX850 Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless Camera from Panasonic manages to squeeze an outstanding level of performance into a super compact body with a 3.0" 180° tilting touchscreen that is perfect for selfies. This camera comes with a retractable Lumix G 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. lens that provides a versatile 24-64mm equivalent focal range and takes up little space when not in use. Beyond this, the GX850 is a member of the Micro Four Thirds system, allowing it to work with a wide range of interchangeable lenses. Also, it features a 16MP Live MOS image sensor that can create sharp images at sensitivities up to ISO 25600 and record UHD 4K video at 24/30 fps. It can also capture 1080p footage at up to 28Mbps as MP4 or AVCHD.

However, the bane is that 4K videos still cannot be well supported by most popular applications like iMovie/FCE mainly because of the ultra high video resolution and the format compatibility problems. In light of this, it is quite necessary to convert 4K video to Apple InterMediate codec(1080p would be the best settings.), which will save you both time and trouble, and all you need is to drag the result videos for editing.

UFUSoft Video Converter for Mac is what you need.

Overall, this 4K video converter provides the most reliable and professional 4K solutions to all format issues including 4K XAVC/XAVC S, 4K MP4, 4K MOV, 4K MXF and more.
